What happens if I don´t see any aurora?

If you won’t see the Northern Lights on your tour, please send us an email at: hello@icelandicroamers.is .

We’ll try our best to provide you another tour on first possible night free of charge.

*Please note that it is not guaranteed that you’ll witness Northern Lights. We’re trying to run these tours only if weather and solar activity is favorable. Even if forecast is very positive – they might be just faint on the sky or not show up at all. This is just nature and we can’t know for sure even with all weather and solar activity forecast.

As this tour is fully dependant on the weather, we’re giving you final decision no later than 2h before the pick-up time whether it’s worth trying or perhaps it’s better to cancel or reschedule.

Note: This excursion is also available as a Private Tour, offering a more intimate experience and transportation in comfortable premium SUV, VAN’s or Off-roaders. Private Tours allow us to better adjust to your needs and travel style. Hence, to show you even more of Iceland’s beauty! 🙂

FAQ

What's the group size? Is there a limit of participants?

There’s a minimum number of 5 participants required for a group tour to take place. The maximum number of participants per group is 10.

How many pictures will I get and how will they be delivered?

We’ll deliver up to 10 photos. Please be aware that sometimes aurora shows up only for very short time – we’ll take one photo for every individual at first, then we can play more with additional photos if aurora is still visible. Within 7 business days you’ll get a link to the dedicated folder on our Google Drive, where your trip pictures will be uploaded.

Can I pick the photos myself?

Your guide-photographer will select end edit the best shots from the day for your photo package. Trust us, we’ve been doing it for years! Please be aware that we do not share RAW pictures and there’s no option to pick and buy more shots – if you wish for a bigger package, please book the Private Photo Tours.

What language(s) does the guide speak?

All our guides speak English. We can also arrange Spanish, French, Portuguese and Polish-speaking guides upon your request, depending on their availability.

What should I wear?

Icelandic weather is unpredictable. Bring warm and waterproof clothes, gloves & hat. Hiking boots are strongly recommended.

What is your cancellation policy?

More than 48 hours’ notice: Full refund minus 10% transaction and administration fee
Less than 48 hours’ notice: No refund
